[11] Two worlds

I am still thinking about it. I am a huge football fan, I love playing football with my friends, online and in real life. But I don’t know THAT specific part of football.

Esport is a big industry with its famous champions. But also millions of amateurs. And the gap between both worlds is huge.

On one side, sold-out indoor events, prestigious sponsors, big cash prizes. On the other side, cancelled tournaments without any explanations, like what happened yesterday.

Is there something between both worlds ?

Many football fans have already played football on videogames. And football is the most popular sport in the world. So there must be millions of amateur players. But I‘ve never heard of amateur competitions. I know there are some great competitions. But they are for the best players in the world. I am not talking about them. I am talking about the rest. Those who just want to have a great night with their friends.

What if they also want to play in a competition, at a great level ?

Maybe something exists. But I have never heard about it. And if I have never heard about it, they did not manage to reach me. And if they did not manage to reach me, what they did was not reachable enough for an amateur like me. And if it is not reachable enough for an amateur like me, it may not be reachable enough for a lot of amateur players.

There might be something great to develop here.
