[67] Create a tournament on the IFC

As I was saying in a previous article, I am the only one who can creates a tournament on the IFC. Even when I am not the organizer.

It means I always have to be there. And it’s not very efficient.

The reasons are understandable. We don’t want everyone to be able to host a tournament, since we have to make sure of keeping a great quality of tournaments.

But there is a happy medium between nobody can create a tournament and everybody can create a tournament.

So we decided to create a form and let anyone access this form.

In this form you can fill the following informations:

• Name of your tournament
• Date and clock
• Number of teams
• Format (8, 12, 16, 32)
• Some specific rules (number of players minimum, goalkeeper mandatory)

Then you send your form and the tournament becomes “pending for validation”. And I validate or not, depending on if I know the organizer or not.

It’s a small step and my intervention is still needed.

But as for filling scores, filling the entire form is an other step I no longer have to do.

Then we will find a way to remove the final validation step, to make organizers manage their tournament from A to Z.
